Overall Goal: (Selection of a school wide goal must be based upon instructional need and must be supported by data. State clearly how this goal will provide for accelerated learning for students at risk of not meeting standards or making AYP.
Choose an Overall Goal for Parent Involvement with a percent measure increase of parent communications and parent visibility.
Overall Goal: ATDSCS has set a goal of 86%for parents visiting the school and maintain documentation of the approval of the student’s Personal Education Plan (PEP), and the Title I Compact.
80% of the parents will personally sign on the approval of the charter by March 2011.
Parent Advisory Council will meet a minimum of eight times per year to provide support for the ATDSCS program and to review the academic assessment data as it becomes available.
The ATDSCS Governing Council will meet once per month to review assessment data and to assist in decision making for the progress of the school.
ATDSCS Governing Council will provide financial oversight regarding the plans for financial for ATDSCS programs to improve the school.
ATDSCS Governing Council and Parent Advisory Council will provide verbal and/or written support of the school’s value to the community for both the North Central Accreditation AdvancEd and for the ATDSCS 2012 Charter Renewal.
90% ATDSCS parents will participate in at least one school activity per year and the Parent Advisory Council will send a representative to at least four academic/financial presentations per year.
ATDSCS Governing Council will recruit ATDSCS parents into at least two of its future vacancies on the Council.
Target Goal/Measure: (Any school missing AYP as a result of Special Education, ELL or FRL(FARM) populations must have a goal representing these groups)
Using Spring short cycle assessment data and current 2009-10 NMSBA data. Choose target goals from the gap analysis of sub-populations not meeting AYP.
ATDSCS will have a minimum of 90% parental approval of students participating in the Title I program, 100% of students participating in Special Education programs, and 95% of parental approval of students participating in the new ATDSCS ELL programs.
Choose a Target Goal/Measure that includes a percent measure increase from 2009-10 NMSBA based on 2011 AMOs
Write a statement about why you chose target goals and measures based on the data analysis.
Parents will be provided with information regarding the 2009-2010 NMSBA results of 17% proficient in math and 47.36% in Language Arts/Reading at the annual Title I parent meetings. This will reflect a population of students who represent only 20% of the total school enrollment. Also, this population has historically scored low and has been a challenge for the prior two years.
